Fair Saint Louis, in partnership with John Legend’s Show Me Campaign Foundation, KMOV News 4, and Schnucks will host a school supply drive on both days of the Fair and throughout the Celebrate St. Louis Summer Concerts. Donations of school supplies will be collected at the fair to support KidSmart, Missouri’s only Free Educational Supply Store that supplies 45,000 local kids in need with $4 million worth of free school supplies throughout each school year.

How can you help?

  • Head to your local Schnucks store and pick up a school supply -- pens, pencils, paper, notebooks, crayons, etc...
  • When you enter the main entrance of Fair Saint Louis, near the KMOV News 4 studios, at Memorial and Market, look for the giant Schnucks grocery cart and deposit your school supplies in the marked receptacles to help “fill the cart.” (After Fair Saint Louis and throughout the Celebrate St. Louis Summer Concerts, school supplies may be dropped off in bins located in the lobby of KMOV - One Memorial Drive, St. Louis, Missouri 63102 - Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.)
  • All school supplies will be donated to KidSmart, which provides free school supplies for St. Louis children in need so they are fully equipped to learn and succeed.

Through the work KidSmart performs, they know that supplies are necessary for learning and also for creating high self-esteem and motivation. By giving St. Louis children the tools they desperately need for school, KidSmart puts them on track for success and helps shape a bright future for the next generation. Since opening in 2002, KidSmart has distributed $15 million dollars worth of free school supplies to tens of thousands of local children who live in poverty. Teachers shop for free each month for St. Louis children in need to equip all of students in need with basic school supplies and enriching educational resources.

Together we can make a difference. It’s as simple as donating a single notebook or a pack of pencils.”
